Membership Benefits: Why Join GIGS?

When you become a member of Girls in Golf Society (GIGS), you’re not just joining a golf society—you’re becoming part of a growing, supportive community of like-minded women who love golf and want to have fun! Here’s what you can look forward to as a GIGS member:

1. Meet New Like-Minded Women

As part of GIGS, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with fellow lesbian golfers who share your passion for the game. Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned player, it’s a great way to expand your social circle and meet women who understand and support you.

2. GIGS 18-Hole Golf Events

Participate in monthly events at carefully selected courses and driving ranges. Our full 18-hole events typically include your green fee, lunch/supper, and prizes. We use the Stableford scoring system to keep things fair and fun for all skill levels. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a competitive yet relaxed day out on the course!

3. GIGS Social Meet-Ups

Improve your health and social wellbeing by joining us for a variety of social meet-ups. From Summer 9-hole and Twilight Golf sessions to relaxed Driving Range meet-ups, these events are designed to be fun and low-pressure, giving you the chance to improve your game while enjoying the company of others.

4. NEW in 2025 - GIGS ‘Golfer of the Year Trophy’

Show off your skills and aim for the Golfer of the Year Trophy! The trophy will be awarded to the player with the best overall performance throughout the year.

5. Enjoy Members-Only Group Rates

One of the perks of playing as part of a group is that we’re able to secure special group rates at golf courses. When a minimum of 8-12 golfers sign up for an event, we can access discounted rates for green fees. Please note, non-refundable deposits are required to secure these tee-times.

6. Hang Out at the 19th Hole GIGS Social

Join our private GIGS Facebook group where members can chat, share tips, and organize meet-ups. It’s the perfect space to stay connected with fellow golfers and share your experiences both on and off the course. Plus you’ll be invited into our GIGS WhatsApp Group to keep up-to-date with all our events.

7. Bitesize Basics of Golf with Jade

New to golf? Our Bitesize Basics of Golf series, written by Jade, will help you get started with easy-to-read, bite-sized chunks of information. Jade’s tips and advice cover everything from the fundamentals of the game to practical tips for beginners—so you can feel confident stepping onto the course.

8. GIGS Members Only Area

As a member, you’ll have access to our exclusive online portal. Here, you can:

  • View the Members Board and connect with other members

  • Sign up for events securely and pay online

  • Check out competition results, update your handicap, and see exclusive members-only content.


*Monthly Event costs will vary depending on society deals we can book.  Payment for each Monthly Golf Event will be due upon sign-up in any given month.
