About GIGS: Where Golf Meets Friendship
Founded in 2006, GIGS has grown from a passionate group of golfers into a vibrant and inclusive community of women who share a love for the sport. Affectionately known as GIGS, our society creates a space for LGBTQ+ women and lesbian golfers to come together, connect, and play golf in a relaxed, safe, and supportive environment.
In April 2022, GIGS became a Small Community Interest Company (CIC), continuing its mission to offer a space where friendships are made, confidence is built, and players—no matter their skill level—feel empowered to enjoy the game. The best part? We’re all about fun, socializing, and creating lasting connections on and off the green.
Whether You’re a Newcomer or an Experienced Golfer, GIGS Has Something for You!
At GIGS, we believe that golf should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Whether you're picking up a club for the first time or you've been playing for years, you'll find a welcoming space here.
For Beginners: Don’t worry if you’re new to golf—we’re all about supporting each other! Join us for informal driving range visits where you can learn at your own pace. You’ll find plenty of people ready to share tips, tricks, and encouragement.
For Regular Players: If you’re already comfortable with the game, GIGS offers social 9- and 18-hole games. Come along for some lighthearted competition, or simply enjoy a round with new friends who share your passion for golf.
For Casual Golfers: If you just like to play occasionally and want to have some fun, we host Twilight Golf sessions during the summer, so you can unwind and enjoy a round at the end of the day.
We offer something for everyone, regardless of how serious or casual you are about the game. GIGS is all about enjoying golf in a social, low-pressure environment.
