AIG extends its support of the AIG Women's Open / Title partnership extended to 2025

AIG has announced its commitment to women’s golf and the AIG Women’s Open will continue long into the future, after extending its title partnership of the AIG Women’s Open by two years to 2025.

AIG has announced its commitment to women’s golf and the AIG Women’s Open will continue long into the future, after extending its title partnership of the AIG Women’s Open by two years to 2025.  

The announcement comes alongside a rebranding of the Championship, as The R&A and AIG are delighted to announce the event shall now be known as the AIG Women’s Open, with the accompanying website at www.aigwomensopen.com.

“For over 40 years, this iconic championship has provided a global stage to showcase world-class women’s golf” said Peter Zaffino, President & Global Chief Operating Officer at AIG.

“AIG proudly stands as allies with these accomplished players, and with women in business and society.  In the face of challenging global circumstances, we are pleased that our increased support of the AIG Women’s Open will enable these dedicated professionals to compete and break down barriers that will provide a lasting example for future generations.”

In these stressful times this is not only vital for our super talented women professional golfers, but it also lifts everyone involved in golf. Avid fans also get to watch golf on the TV and it’s the girls turn this time! 

Heartwarming to see a true great is thinking of others and wants to help.  As an ex tour pro I do appreciate how the girls will feel about this amazing initiative.
